Posted by Jay Allred on 12 November 2015 10:01 AM

Update - Microsoft has re-released KB3097877. BizCom's recommendation is to uninstall the old KB3097877, reboot, and then run Windows Update to obtain the new KB3097877. More information can be found at https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/3097877.

BizCom Support has learned that one of the most recent Windows Updates (KB3097877) causes Outlook to lock-up.

Below are our recommendations for resolving this issue:

  • Uninstall KB3097877 by doing the following:
    • Go to the Windows Control Panel
    • Click on Programs and Features (Windows 7/8)
    • On the left side click on View installed updates
    • In the search box in the top right type in KB3097877
    • Click on KB3097877 and click Uninstall
    • Click through the uninstall steps
  • If you do not want to uninstall KB3097877 the only option is to use Outlook Web App

We will update this News once we learn of a fix from Microsoft.
